How do I know when the machine is full or out of water?

What happens to the ice when the basket fills up completely?
An infrared sensor detects when the ice reaches the top. The machine will automatically stop making new ice so it doesn't overflow, then safely restarts once you scoop some ice out. 
How do I use the self-cleaning function?
You fill the reservoir with clean water, press and hold the clean button on the panel, and let the machine run its internal rinsing cycle. Once finished, you can easily drain the water out.
