Product Description
This system is a 3-inch heavy-duty diesel flexible shaft drive water pump set. It combines a reliable 5.0 HP Kama 173F diesel engine with a long 6-meter flexible drive shaft attached to a portable 3-inch pump head.
Unlike traditional rigid, frame-mounted pumps, this specialized configuration places the heavy engine safely on dry land or a vehicle bed, while the submersible, lightweight pump head is dropped directly down into deep trenches, rivers, pits, or tight spaces. This makes it an ideal tool for demanding dewatering applications across agriculture, construction sites, and remote utility work.

Setup & Operation FAQ
  • Does this pump require manual priming before use?
    No. Because the flexible shaft allows the actual pump head to be fully submerged directly into the water source, it is inherently self-priming. You do not need to add water to a suction housing like traditional frame-mounted pumps.
  • Can this pump handle dirty or muddy water?
    Yes. This type of flexible shaft pump is built for heavy-duty dewatering, including muddy construction pits, trenches, and agricultural drainage. However, avoid pumping highly dense sludge, large stones, or chemicals that can corrode the aluminum casing. 
  • Can I run the pump dry if the water source runs out?
    No. Avoid letting the pump run dry for extended periods. The internal components, particularly the mechanical seal, rely on the surrounding water for cooling and lubrication. Running it dry can cause severe overheating and seal damage. 
  • What fluids should absolutely NOT be pumped?
    Never use this system to pump flammable, volatile liquids (like gasoline or solvents) due to fire risks, nor should you pump hot liquids exceeding 50°C.
