Coffee Pulper Machine Diesel 4.5HP

Product Description
The unit is a heavy-duty, compact agricultural tool designed to separate the outer flesh and skin (pulp) from freshly harvested, wet ripe coffee cherries. It features a large sheet-metal hopper for loading raw fruit, a localized rolling pulping drum/disc, and a dedicated belt-driven fly-wheel system powered by a mounted overhead-valve (OHV) diesel engine. The structural framework is made from reinforced steel to reduce vibrations during operation.
Key Technical Factors
  • Diesel Engine Drive: Powered by a 4.5HP recoil-start gasoline motor, removing dependency on electrical grids.
  • Adjustable Clearance: The inner pulping gap can be manually configured via adjusting knobs to accommodate various sizes of coffee varieties without causing bean breakage.
  • Separation Design: Equipped with dual-exit discharge chutes that push out clean wet parchment beans from one side while expelling the pulp skin from another.
  • High Efficiency Index: Operates at approximately 98% to 99% peeling accuracy with minimum bean wastage or broken rates under 1%.
  • Output Capacity: Capable of processing 300 kg to 500 kg of fresh cherries per hour depending on the specific engine speed settings.
Operational Benefits
  • Grid Independence: High off-grid utility allows farmers to process their yield right at the plantation fields or remote washing stations.
  • Labor Reduction: Drastically reduces processing time compared to manual hand-crank methods, changing multi-day workloads into hours.
  • Preserved Bean Quality: The precision grooved rolling mechanism ensures uniform pulp removal without scratching or fracturing the inner parchment beans.
  • Rot Avoidance: High-speed processing enables farmers to treat fresh cherries immediately after harvest, preventing fruit fermentation or spoilage.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
    ⚙️ Operation & Assembly
    • Does the machine arrive fully assembled?
    • No. The hopper, frame legs, and gasoline engine are detached for shipping. Assembly takes about 20–30 minutes using basic wrenches.
    • Can I use this machine for dry coffee cherries?
    • No. This is a wet-process pulper designed strictly for freshly picked, ripe, wet coffee cherries. Dry cherries will clog or damage the drum.
    • How do I adjust the machine for different bean sizes?
    • Use the adjustment bolts located on the sides of the pulping drum housing. Tighten them for smaller beans (Arabica) or loosen them for larger varieties (Robusta) to prevent crushing.
    • Do I need to add water during the pulping process?
    • Yes. Running water into the hopper helps lubricate the cherries, washes the pulp away smoothly, and prevents beans from sticking to the drum.
    🔧 Engine & Fuel
    • What fuel and oil does the engine require?
    • It uses standard unleaded gasoline (91 octane or higher). The crankcase requires 4-stroke engine oil (typically SAE 10W-30), which must be filled before the first start.
    • How do I start the engine?
    • Turn the fuel valve on, set the choke lever to the closed position, turn the engine switch to "ON," and pull the recoil starter rope firmly. Open the choke once it warms up.
    🧼 Maintenance & Cleaning
    • How often should I clean the pulper?
    • Clean it immediately after every use. Flush the hopper and drum thoroughly with water to remove sticky fruit mucilage, which hardens and corrodes the metal.
    • How often does the engine need a service?
    • Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of initial use (break-in period), and then every 50 operating hours or every 3 months thereafter.
    • What parts wear out the fastest?
    • The rubber or copper pulping plate and the V-belt are wear-and-tear items. Inspect them before every harvest season and replace them if cracked or worn down.
