Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I apply Vetsense Ivermec Pour-On?
Apply the solution topically in a narrow strip along the animal's backline using a standard pour-on applicator gun. Start between the shoulder blades (withers) and pour evenly down to the tailhead.
Can I inject this product or give it orally?
No. This product is strictly formulated for topical application only to the skin surface. Administering it orally or via injection can cause severe health complications or reduced efficacy.
Is it safe to apply if it is raining or if the herd is wet?
Do not apply the treatment if the animal's hair or hide is wet. While the formula is rainfast, rain falling on cattle less than 2 hours after dosing can significantly reduce its effectiveness. For best results, apply to dry skin when no rain is expected.
Can I use this on sheep, goats, or dogs?
No. This product is registered exclusively for use in cattle. Ivermectin-based pour-ons can be extremely toxic to other species, particularly dogs, where accidental exposure can lead to fatal neurological issues.
How often can I re-treat my cattle?
The recommended re-treatment interval dictates that you do not re-treat animals for 42 days after their last application. Always base your timing on a strategic herd parasite control program or advice from your local veterinarian.
What should I do if the liquid looks cloudy?
Cloudiness can occur if the product is stored in cold environments below 0°C. Simply allow the bottle to warm up naturally to room temperature (around 25°C) to restore its clear appearance; this temporary cloudiness will not impact product efficacy.
